Congratulations to Valeria Anyango, in Residential Services – Snohomish County, Washington!
At Service Alternatives, Community is the basis for belonging. It helps people feel valued, accepted, and it is the “why” of the work we do. Valeria’s nomination included a written thank you from a Guardian, expressing how clearly Valeria cares for her clients, how worry free they are while their family member is in our care and how thankful they are about having Service Alternatives as a provider.
Below are excerpts from her nomination.
“Valeria consistently demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the clients she supports making a difference in their lives by involving and engaging the clients in their communities through participating in their favorite activities. In the respite home, you can find Valeria engaging the client in puzzles, playing video/Wii games, board games, reading to them, cooking together, or making funny faces and sounds to make them smile etc. In the community, she is always researching fun activities based on the client likes and works with the clients to schedule and attend those activities. The client guardians love her, and she always liaisons with or reach out to the client guardians to create fun things for an incoming respite client.”
