¡Conoce a Ashlie Soto! Ella ha estado con SA durante los últimos 6 años. Ashlie comenzó como especialista en servicios de empleo para los servicios de empleo de la comunidad del condado de Snohomish. Ahora, ella es la asistente administrativa en nuestra ubicación Everett-909.

Trabajar con los diferentes gerentes y programas le da a Ashlie una visión interna de muchas áreas diferentes de SA, además de poder construir grandes relaciones. En su puesto, ningún día es igual y le encanta la variedad de proyectos que siempre hay en su plato. La flexibilidad de su horario también es una ventaja para esta madre de dos hijos.

What is your response when someone asks, “What do you do for work?”
“I explain a little bit about what my division (CES) does, and that I keep the machine running. I have many daily items that I tend to along with working on different and unique projects. I provide support to staff and managers, along with working in financial areas of car logs, and paying company bills.”

What does a typical work day look like for you?
 “I start each morning fairly similarly with checking emails. I make sure there are no emergencies or important items that need my immediate attention. I print out any relevant items, (bills/personnel files), note any upcoming meetings, and organize projects.” 

What three words or phrases would you use to describe your role?
“Time management, organization, and communication.”

What personal quality or skill do you think has helped you most in your job?
“The natural people skills that I have learned over the years. Being able to communicate on many different levels with so many different people has helped a lot.”

Given your experience, what would you say to someone who has just started in the field? What about someone who is interested in a job like yours?
“I would tell them to remember that the position is in service. It is a support role, a very key support roll. The managers and staff you work with, and their needs, are a priority. Building relationships with everyone you encounter is also key. Good partnerships, and a good team dynamic, are so important to keep everything running smoothly.”
