It’s already November, which means we’re in that time of year that’s jam packed with holidays. Whether you celebrate any of these holidays or not, you are likely continuing to navigate how to spend time with loved ones safely. If you don’t celebrate one of these holidays, you are likely overwhelmed by the advertising.
We all know that 2020 was difficult, and for most of us that is an understatement. For many of us, 2021 has been even more difficult. While it looks a bit different than 2020 did, we’re still not out of the woods and need to continue taking precautions.
Here are a few things we can appreciate during these last few months of 2021:
- Since Covid arrived in our daily lives there have been many developments to help us understand it better. We know how it’s transmitted and have a few different ways to keep ourselves and loved ones as safe as we can.
- We’ve all heard by now of the holiday shopping shortage that’s projected. At least we know in advance and can plan accordingly, unlike the toilet paper/Lysol shortage last year. And, what a great opportunity to consider our purchasing patterns. Maybe this is the year we donate to a cause close to our hearts instead of gifting physical items.
- Many of us have had to become more knowledgeable about technology and it’s become more accessible. We’re all pros at Zoom calls now, aren’t we! This means that depending on your situation, at least there’s still an option to ‘virtually’ gather with loved ones.
It’s been a long year and a half since Covid really hit our communities. Many of us are getting burnt out and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s take this time to plan our vacation & time away from work and give ourselves time with loved ones. One thing I’m sure we can all agree on is that Covid has taught us to make time for our families and enjoy what we have.
