Mindfulness is popular right now, and with good reason. Summer shares one way that she encourages her clients to practice mindfulness in their lives.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) engages our participants in mindfulness practices. Among the many benefits of mindfulness, our participants learn to pay attention to the moment and in turn experience the moment fully.  I recently took a client from our Snohomish group to a trail to do mindful photography. They were completely focused and noticed small details that are often overlooked like heart shaped leaves, droplets of hanging sap, hidden mushrooms… Afterward, they talked about how they felt calm and happy.

That’s all for now!
