Employee Satisfaction is when we each feel valued for our work and supported in advancing our own potential.

The nomination for Samantha describes the wholistic approach Samantha takes in striving to provide employee satisfaction for the team.

The selection committee recognized a theme in the nomination of a leader who incorporates feedback and implements change; this theme resonated with the committee in considering its impacts to employee satisfaction.

The nomination states:

Her advocacy for our team is unparalleled; she goes above and beyond to ensure our concerns are heard and addressed. Sam not only takes our suggestions seriously but actively implements positive changes based on our feedback, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued.

Moreover, Samantha has a remarkable ability to transform our exceedingly small and shared office space into a friendly and welcoming place. Even when things get crowded, hectic, or frustrating, Sam’s honesty and approachable demeanor creates a positive atmosphere that extends beyond professional interactions. Sam’s efforts in cultivating a positive environment, where we can all truly be ourselves, share laughs, contribute significantly to the team’s cohesion and overall job satisfaction. Samantha’s leadership can be characterized by honesty, transparency, and genuine care for each team member. She is not just an administrator, but a mentor and role model inspiring us all to reach our full potential.

The values committee chooses a recipient from blind redacted nominations and, upon learning who was selected, the values committee also wants to acknowledge that Samantha has been a great promotor of the SA values award program and is an alumni committee member.
