Shawnee Hatcher was presented her award at a surprise virtual presentation during a team meeting.

I am pleased to announce the SA Value Award Recipient for Customer Service! Congratulations to Shawnee Hatcher,  Employment Specialist in Community Services-Island County!

At SA, Customer Service is the act of taking care of the customer’s needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high quality service and assistance before, during, and after requirements are met. But it doesn’t end there. At Service Alternatives, Customer Service means being in-service to each person we encounter.

The nomination for Shawnee stood out to the committee as it exemplifies delivering quality services that are in response to customer needs, and concurrently demonstrates how being in-service to our clients’ interests and goals paves the way for their personal successes. The nomination specifies a tangible goal that was identified for a client highlighting community inclusion.

The nomination states:

I would like to nominate Shawnee Hatcher because she has done amazing work getting her

community inclusion clients back out into the community. She even got a client into an acting

class and the client will be in a play soon. This is truly thinking outside of the box and is

inspirational to me.
