Ladder of Inference is a focused leadership training which introduces a framework for understanding how people often draw the wrong conclusions based on limited information when they explain others’ behavior. These misinterpretations tend to lead to poor outcomes. This training will equip participants with the skills needed to recognize and correct unproductive inferences.
Participants will learn to apply this framework to their decision-making processes, gaining insights into how inferences are formed and how they influence behavior. The training provides practical tools and strategies to counteract the tendency to make assumptions based on incomplete information, ultimately improving communication, relationships, and decision-making effectiveness. To maximize the effectiveness of this training, it is recommended that you reflect on your experiences where during an interaction with another person you did something you wish you could undo.
Ladder of Inference is available through attending a pre-scheduled training session or scheduling an onsite session, allowing your organization to integrate this knowledge into your training programs.
