Emotional Intelligence in Practice is an advanced training course that provides participants with the opportunity to deepen their skills in the four key categories of emotional intelligence (EQ): self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. This course builds on foundational knowledge, offering practical tools and techniques that can be immediately applied to enhance your effectiveness in both work and personal life.
Participants will explore the role of values in decision-making, learn to apply the Ladder of Inference model to increase self-awareness, and develop strategies for maintaining self-control in high pressure situations. The training also addresses cognitive biases, such as the fundamental attribution error, and their impact on interactions with others.
Additionally, participants will learn techniques for expanding empathy, using the social contract to foster team cohesion and psychological safety, and enhancing communication skills through listening with inquiry. The course includes the application of the Cycle of Reflecting model to help you analyze mistakes and successes, ensuring continuous learning and growth. While prior completion of Foundations of Emotional Intelligence is beneficial, it is not required.
Emotional Intelligence in Practice is available through attending a pre-scheduled training session, scheduling an onsite session, or as a Train-the-Trainer model, allowing your organization to integrate this knowledge into your training programs.
