Building a safe, nurturing, and healthy home environment.

Are you a parent of a child under age five? Are you at risk of, or have been reported for, child abuse or neglect? Our SafeCare® program can help. We will partner with you to work on three specific areas:

  • Interaction skills between you and your child: You will improve your ability to recognize the developmental needs of your child and provide appropriate nurture, structure, and stimulation for their wellbeing. This will increase your future success as a parent in raising your child.
  • Health care skills: You will learn how to better recognize the signs and symptoms of illness and pain, and how to provide the necessary care.
  • Home safety: You will become more aware of environmental threats to children, such as items that could harm your child if left unattended. You will practice using appropriate safety measures for babyproofing and keeping the home free of dangers for your child.

Our SafeCare® therapist will spend about four months coaching and supporting you in your home and working toward a shared goal of resolving any concerns regarding child mistreatment or environmental dangers.
