Effectively parent your child with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Would you like to get more tools for your parenting toolbox? Are you running low on ideas for how to parent your child with behavioral and emotional challenges? The Positive Parenting Program(R) (Triple P®) is a dynamic and practical program that might benefit you. It is grounded in five key principles of positive parenting:

  • Building a safe and interesting family environment with a balance of independence and supervision
  • Creating a positive learning environment – providing encouragement and positive attention to motivate your child to learn new behaviors
  • Using assertive discipline – consistent, timely, and focused in developing desired behaviors
  • Having realistic expectations – consistent with developmental needs of your child
  • Self care for you, the parent

Triple P® is a 10 week training program. It is centered around your family and facilitated by a professional. Our therapist will complete an initial assessment with your family by listening to your story and seeking to understand your parenting goals and the challenges you are experiencing. Together you will decide what you want to learn each week from the 10 modules.

Testimonials

“Thank you for all the work you’ve accomplished with this family. I really appreciate it. I’m looking forward to you working with more of my clients.”

Shelley, DCYF

“I enjoyed the PPP material and that I had a chance to study the curriculum and learn it. I found V.J. to be friendly and easy to talk to.  She did a good job explaining PPP concepts and strategies.  I would recommend PPP program for any parent.”

JM, PPP Client

“I have utilized PPP with many families, specifically with SA V.J.in the home. With each family, I have heard significant feedback. The feedback is similar and always positive – Ms. J approaches the family with respect, knowledge, expertise and with realistic expectations. At the end of the service, parents are able to verbalize to me what they have learned and are grateful for the service as it has improved their family dynamics, parental authority, and parent-child relationships.”
