RIGHT RESPONSE® Certification (Lynnwood)
RIGHT RESPONSE Certification is a de-escalation training program designed to equip participants with proactive, holistic, and immediately effective strategies for addressing conflict and crisis. This certification workshop emphasizes preventing the need for physical intervention by focusing on self-care, de-escalation techniques, and managing stress. Participants will learn how to create proactive environments, respond to trauma, and use positive behavior support to guide individuals through challenging situations.
The certification is offered at three levels – Elements, Elements+, and Advanced. Elements Certification is a one-day course, while Elements+ and Advanced are two-day courses that must be taken in sequence.
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement and comfortable, stable, and safe footwear (please avoid open toe shoes or shoes with a raised heel). You will be practicing physical safety skills and we want everyone to feel and stay safe during the training.

Suicide Prevention – 2 Day (Webinar)
Preventing Suicide: Awareness, Assessment, Intervention, and Management is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently and competently support individuals at risk for suicidality. Throughout this session, you will learn how to assess both youth and adults for suicide risk, recognize common risk factors, and implement immediate intervention strategies. The workshop also covers how to refer at-risk individuals to expert mental health care and develop proactive interventions to increase resilience and reduce risk factors. Additionally, participants will learn how to dispel common myths about suicidality and increase their comfort level in dealing with these critical situations. This workshop is designed to provide you with tools and strategies that you can apply immediately in your professional or personal life.

Johari Window is designed to help you expand your self-awareness and enhance your interpersonal relationships. In this session, you will explore the Johari Window model, a simple yet effective tool for understanding how you present yourself and how others perceive you. You will practice applying the model to your own experiences, gaining valuable insights into your Blind Spot, those aspects of yourself that others see but you do not. This workshop will guide you in developing a plan to shift these blind spot traits into the other quadrants of the Johari Window, improving your communication, relationships, and leadership effectiveness.

New Hire Health & Safety is a foundational workshop designed to equip new employees at Service Alternatives with essential knowledge of workplace safety protocols. This course covers critical topics such as Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP), the SA BBP Control Plan, SCRIPT (Service Alternatives Critical Response Protocol), Washington Labor & Industries regulations on incident reporting, COVID-19 protocols, and safe driving practices. Through practical examples and discussion, participants will learn how to protect themselves and others while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

CPR/First Aid/AED Certification/Recertification (Burlington)
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification/Recertification (Burlington)
Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid is a certification course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to respond to a wide range of first aid emergencies. As an American Red Cross Authorized Provider, Service Alternatives delivers up-to-date training based on the latest science. This course teaches participants how to recognize and care for various emergencies including, burns, sudden illnesses, breathing and cardiac emergencies, and more for both adults (12 years and older) and pediatric individuals (infants and children up to 12 years old). Successful completion of the course results in an American Red Cross certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for two years. This class is intended for Service Alternatives' Employees, Foster Parents, and SA-served Clients.
