Introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Lynnwood)

Introduction to Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) familiarizes participants with the core principles and practices of DBT, an evidence-based practice effectively utilized to support individuals with a variety of challenges. During this session, you will explore the origins and foundations of DBT and understand how biological and environmental factors often drive ineffective behaviors. This workshop emphasizes the importance of empathy, validation, and acceptance in supporting individuals on their journey toward defining and achieving a life worth living. Participants will learn essential DBT tools, including Behavior Chain Analysis, Core Mindfulness skills, and techniques for Distress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Emotional Regulation. This workshop is designed to challenge and change perspectives, equipping you with practical skills to manage challenging behaviors in both professional and personal settings. Please note this course is a prerequisite for attending advanced DBT Skills training. This class is intended for Service Alternatives' Employees, Foster Parents, and SA-served Clients. American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED (Tacoma)

Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid is a certification course designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to respond to a wide range of first aid emergencies. As an American Red Cross Authorized Provider, Service Alternatives delivers up-to-date training based on the latest science. This course teaches participants how to recognize and care for various emergencies including, burns, sudden illnesses, breathing and cardiac emergencies, and more for both adults (12 years and older) and pediatric individuals (infants and children up to 12 years old). Successful completion of the course results in an American Red Cross certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for two years. This class is intended for Service Alternatives' Employees, Foster Parents, and SA-served Clients.
