Practices in Action: Person Centered Planning looks at the history of developmental disabilities to gain perspective on how individuals with developmental disabilities have been treated in the past and how as a community have gained awareness of their human rights, dignity, and respect. This training will help you gain a firm understanding of Person-Centered Practices and learn how to implement them. This training will help you understand the laws and state requirements that are important to the individuals we support. This training will also explore the influence of culture and how it defines the quality of our work and redefines what it means to be a caregiver. Must attend the entire class to receive the certificate.
