I am pleased to announce the SA Value Award Recipient for Respect! Congratulations to Nathan Lofquist, Janitor with Community Services.

At Service Alternatives, Respect means we honor the unique contributions and experiences of each individual.  This nomination stood out to the committee specifically for the efforts Nathan takes to know everyone in the office, smile and say hello, and acknowledge the work of others.  He is respectful in his work, making efforts to ease noise and respect the work space of others.

The nomination states:

Nathan has a smile and a hello for each person he encounters while working at our office.  He will ask us what we would like done in the office each week as he works. Nathan will let us know when he will be using the vacuum as to not interrupt our work and plan for the noise. Nathan is service minded.  He knows the people by name in our office as he cleans once a week for a couple of hours and beyond that tries not to interrupt our work. In turn, the office enjoys Nathan’s weekly interactions. Nathan reminds us to slow down and not take the little things for granted and enjoy each person within our shared space.
