Do you know how important it is to recognize and appreciate one another for meaningful contributions? This can happen in a variety of ways and we are working hard here at SA to improve the consistency and quality of appreciation. Longevity awards, SAVA awards, SA Happenings, Administrative Professionals Week, DSP Week, Friday Messages… these are just a few things we are doing organizationally. Appreciation also needs to be shared within programs, with team members appreciating one another.  

I encourage you to consider when the last time was that you appreciated a co-worker or friend meaningfully. By sharing what the person did and how it improved your day or made you feel, you make a difference. As an organization that values employee satisfaction, this matters a lot! 

As you may have seen last month, we are now sharing our SA Value Awards winners on this blog. The SA Value Awards is a monthly award and recognition program of exceptional work related to the SA values. The purpose is to embed and highlight SA’s core values and promote employee and employee relations. It also honors those who go above and beyond in embedding the core values in their day-to-day work. Each month a value is highlighted, and a recipient selected. We are looking forward to sharing more with you about the amazing people who work here.
